Our Story

Fly The World Publishing was started in 2022 by Luis Diaz after releasing his debut adventure & thriller novel, WHAT'$ ¥OUR NUMB€R? Having self-published via Kindle Direct Publishing, he quickly learned of the negative taboo that it carried throughout the book industry. Book stores and libraries were unwilling to carry his novel and cited that being published by Amazon was the reason. After much research and conversations with other authors encountering the same experience, he decided to build a platform that he and other authors could use in order to get that validation and exposure they are in search for. By turning a negative into a positive, Fly The World Publishing was born.

The goal here is simple. INSPIRE. We want you to continue writing even if you’ve faced countless rejections by literary agents and publishers. It takes a special talent to be able to put together hundreds of pages and tell any kind of story and we don’t want that talent to lose its luster. These stories will live on well beyond our years and your future family lineage will be able to one day look back and see what you have created. They may be inspired from it. Can you imagine reading something your grandparents or great grandparents may have written?!

As authors, we write for a reason. There’s always a purpose, and you should constantly remind yourself of what that is. Even in times of rejection. That should make you work harder. You can learn from those experiences and maybe even catch a flight somewhere to create some new ones. Explore a foreign culture. Learn a few of their words, try their foods and see the world through their eyes. It will benefit not only your writing, but your life in general.

The travel industry is booming at the moment and it is another reason Fly The World is taking off at the perfect time. We want to build a collection of books that fellow travelers can read on a plane, a long road trip or while sipping a Mai Tai in Bali. When they see that ‘Fly The World’ logo on your book, they will know they’re about to take a trip somewhere. Of course, not everyone has the luxury of being able travel but that’s where us as authors come in. We have the power to take readers to places they’ve never been and can directly inspire them to do so one day.

As an Indie Publishing Company, we may not be able to offer what major publishing companies are offering (yet…) but we will provide a variety of services and media platforms in order to give you more exposure, more legitimacy, and ultimately, more inspiration. First hand we have seen the costs that can be incurred as a self-published author so our services are meant to help those authors get off the ground. We take pride in our work and our commitment to you will be paramount. We are looking forward to taking over the travel book industry!
